2023 SOF Week

The theme for this year’s SOF Week is “People-Win-Transform”. The phrase embodies USSOCOM’s priorities for 2023, beginning with human resources, then focusing on winning strategy implementation and finally, the transformation of military organizations and technology.  Joint battlespace awareness is vital to the goals of USSOCOM for the future of defense. This is only achievable by managing big data. The problem with current data management solutions is that they don’t meet the specific needs of defense organizations. The existing structures of planning methodologies pose the challenge of making use of existing data and unifying joint capability management.  Joint capability management requires a solution that can tap into existing data and make correlations to new incoming data across organizations. This means that successful control operations of the future will rely on interoperability between military organizations and the ability to communicate quickly and efficiently will rely on the convergence of data across the command

AI and Machine Learning applications are becoming more commonplace, but you have to be able to access the data that drives the machine learning process in order to fully benefit from it. Scarcity of time and the sheer volume of data that is generated each day make it impossible for human filtering and processing of data alone. There is a need to put all data in one place where legacy data can interact with new data to make automatic correlations.

Equitus National Security Group was created to meet the challenges that big data poses for the military and the future of defense. In the race to make use of a sea of data, the ability to act faster than our adversaries is the most impactful use of technology for current and future defense planning. Equitus National Security Group’s technology is built to address this problem by facilitating data discovery and convergence in a secure environment that puts all your data to use to speed decision making. The heart of Equitus’ technology is Equitus’ OpenFabric™, a graph data fabric that moves beyond the typical data fabric technologies by unifying the implementation of data stores, analytics, and data transformation. The Equitus platform is a proprietary suite of tools and microservices that surround a powerful analytic engine to empower data-centric decisions.

Equitus National Security Group is proud to attend SOF Week right here at home in Tampa Bay from May 8th- May 11th at the Tampa Convention Center. The goal of SOF Week organizers this year is to engage with as many attendees and members of the SOF community as possible, and the team at Equitus is excited to support that goal. The “People” priority of this year’s theme matches the energy at Equitus. Our team of veterans and the brightest minds in tech are what make Equitus uniquely positioned to solve the problems that are specific to this community. Our goal is to equip the organizations that support our national defense with technology that transforms their operations through innovation.
